North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Men's Basketball team hosted Anderson University this past Wednesday for a mid week HCAC match up.

Manchester kept the game close but in the end, Anderson would walk away with the win.

Manchester 69, Anderson 77

Manchester got things started early with Bryant Smith (West Lafayette, Ind., Harrison) knocking down three 3 pointers in the first three minutes of the game and the Spartans leading over Anderson the entire first half. Manchester went into the break up six. The Spartans kept a strong lead until halfway through the 2nd half when a couple of turnovers led to the Ravens scoring and taking the eventual lead with 8:39 to go. It continued to be back and forth, with the Spartans down three and 14 seconds left Anderson would ice the game with a 3 pointer of their own and win the game.

Manchester scoring was led by Bryant Smith who buried 9 three pointers and 27 points, while the Spartans as a team dished out 23 assists on 27 field goals.

Manchester will look to get back in the groove as they travel to Lexington, KY to take on Transylvania University on January 18.
