North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester University Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach
Zach Metkler has been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy from February 22-24, 2025 in Indianapolis, IN.
Metkler is one of just 58 NCAA coaches and NFL Legends nationwide who will take part in the Academy. The academy, delivered in collaboration with the NFL, is an educational opportunity for current, full-time college football coaches at NCAA institutions from all three divisions to build connections and develop leadership acumen to pursue their career aspirations within football coaching.
The academy gives coaches the opportunity to engage with industry experts and valuable peers across a wide variety of topics, enhancing their capabilities to serve as effective coaches and leaders of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Topics covered during the three-day event include effective communication with campus and community constituents, the importance of building a culture focused on the overall success of the student-athletes, budget management of a football program, coaching strategies and philosophies, leadership development, and networking opportunities.
Metkler completed his second season on the Manchester sidelines this fall after serving as Director of Football Operations, Assistant Offensive Line Coach, Director of Player Personnel, and NFL/Pro Scout Liaison at Division I FCS University of Rhode Island.
