North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester Volleyball returned home in style Wednesday night, sweeping Bluffton 3–0 (25–17, 25–23, 25–22) inside Stauffer-Wolfe Arena to earn its 11th win of the season and improve to 2–4 in HCAC play.
The Spartans were efficient offensively, hitting .311 as a team behind balanced contributions across the front row. Avery Ball led the way with 14 kills on a .357 attack percentage while adding an ace and five digs. Maddi Smith followed with 10 kills and a block, and Lily Lichtenbarger was nearly unstoppable, tallying 10 kills on just 18 swings (.500) and recording two solo blocks. Setter Morgan Howard orchestrated the offense with 40 assists and added three kills and a service ace of her own, while Adelyn Figley chipped in six kills, two aces, eight digs, and a block.
Defensively, Tiffany Watterson anchored the back row with a team-high nine digs, and Emma Bault added seven. Manchester's blocking presence also helped contain Bluffton's attack, as the Spartans registered five team blocks and limited the Beavers to just a .025 hitting percentage.
After cruising through the first set, Manchester showed poise in a tightly contested second frame, rallying late behind Ball and Smith to edge Bluffton 25–23. The Spartans then closed out the sweep in the third set, finishing strong on a Bault service ace that sealed the match at 25–22.
With the win, Manchester (11–13, 2–4 HCAC) continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of conference play, showcasing one of its most complete team performances of the season.
