North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester fell 95–88 to Wheaton (IL) in a fast-paced, high-scoring matchup at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena, but the Spartans delivered one of their most complete offensive performances of the season. The game featured 14 ties and 14 lead changes as both teams traded long scoring runs and big individual efforts.
Manchester shot over 50 percent from the field and connected on 12 three-pointers, keeping pace with Wheaton's physical interior attack throughout the night.
Ty Lynas led the charge with 30 points, consistently creating offense off the dribble, hitting from deep, and generating transition opportunities with four steals.
Clay McCorkle added 23 points on an extremely efficient shooting night, while
Max Robertson supplied 22 points and six rebounds, scoring from all levels to help Manchester build and maintain momentum.
The Spartans held a 49–48 halftime lead after an explosive first half in which their ball movement and perimeter shooting pushed the pace. Early in the second half, Manchester continued to answer every Wheaton push, with Brace providing energy on the glass and the guard trio carrying the scoring load. However, Wheaton's size and speed eventually shifted the game, as the Thunder piled up points in the paint and converted key transition baskets down the stretch.
Despite the loss, Manchester showcased major offensive growth and remained competitive deep into the final minutes. With three players over 20 points and improved efficiency across the board, the Spartans put together one of their strongest outings of the season and showed real potential as conference play approaches.
