North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester Men's Basketball battled throughout but came up short in a 95–83 loss to Hanover on Saturday afternoon at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
The Spartans kept pace early behind a strong offensive start from
Ty Lynas, who scored from all three levels and helped Manchester stay within striking distance in the first half. Despite Hanover's efficiency from the field, Manchester trailed by just 49–38 at the break and showed resilience coming out of halftime.
Lynas turned in a standout performance, pouring in a game-high 38 points on 16-of-23 shooting while adding two steals.
Clay McCorkle complemented him with 17 points and five assists, and
Max Robertson chipped in 10 points and three steals as Manchester continued to push the tempo and attack the paint.
Manchester outscored Hanover 45–46 in the second half and consistently answered runs, but Hanover's balanced scoring and rebounding advantage proved decisive down the stretch. The visitors finished with 39 rebounds and shot over 50 percent from the floor, limiting the Spartans' ability to fully close the gap.
Manchester finished the afternoon shooting 60 percent from the field and totaled 42 points in the paint, continuing to show offensive growth as conference play moves forward
