North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester earned an 80–77 HCAC victory over Transylvania on Wednesday afternoon at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena, using a strong second-half surge and balanced scoring to pull out the conference win.
The Spartans trailed 29–25 after the opening half but flipped the momentum after the break, erupting for 47 points in the second half. Manchester shot efficiently from the perimeter, knocking down 13 three-pointers, and capitalized at the free-throw line to build separation during a fast-paced final 20 minutes.
Ty Lynas led the way with a game-high 24 points, adding six assists and two steals while logging heavy minutes in the backcourt.
Clay McCorkle followed with 20 points on five made three-pointers, providing a steady offensive spark throughout the game.
Chris Hardy chipped in 14 points, shooting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, while
Ladarius Wallace contributed 12 points and two assists.
Manchester shared the ball well, finishing with 16 assists, and protected possessions by limiting turnovers to just eight. The Spartans also received key contributions from their bench, which accounted for 16 points and helped maintain energy throughout the contest.
