Indianapolis, Ind. - The Manchester Men's Wrestling Team competed at the Greyhound Open hosted by UIndy this past weekend.

Three Spartans placed at the open against a mixed group of opponents from all divisions.

Mason Jones (Dyer, Ind., Lake Central) placed 6th in the 125 pound weight class. Jones finished the day 4-2 with his final match coming down to a decision against a Division 1 opponent from Bellarmine. Jones defeated a Division 1 and 2 opponent in the tournament.

Keegan Schlabach (LaGrange, Ind., Lakeland) finished in 5th for the Spartans at the 133 pound division. Schlabach finished with a 4-2 record on the day with a final win due to no contest in the 5th place match up.

Mitchell Betz (Russiaville, Ind., Western) was the final Spartan to place, he placed 7th in the 157 pound division. Betz went 6-2 on the day including his final win coming in the 7th place match due to no contest over an athlete from Illinois.

The Spartans next match up will be hosting the Mid-State Invitational on February 15 .
