North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Men's Wrestling team hosted the Mid-State Invitational this past Saturday in Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.

With hundreds of wrestlers and over 300 bouts, the Spartans came away in 2nd place with 13 place winners.

125 lb Division: 
Joey Cline (Yorktown, Ind., Yorktown) finished in 3rd place after going 3-1 on the day.
Junior Arizmendi Deleon (Attica, Ind., Attica) finished 8th place after going 2-3 on the day.

133 lb Division:
Nasir Christion (Merrillville, Ind., Merrillville) secured 1st place after going 4-0 on the day.
Adrian Origel (Morocco, Ind., North Newton) secured 2nd place after going 3-1 on the day with his only loss being a medical forfeit in the championship.
Kaleb Salazar (Syracuse, Ind., Wawasee) secured 3rd place after going 3-1 on the day.

149 lb Division:
Brady Schiffli (LaGrange, Ind., Lakeland) finished in 4th after going 3-2 on the day.

157 lb Division:
Mitchell Betz (Russiaville, Ind., Western) finished in 2nd place after going 3-1 on the day.
Keagen Mabie (Mishawaka, Ind., Mishawaka) finished in 5th place after going 4-1 on the day.

165 lb Division:
James Bettcher (Lakeville, Ind., LaVille) placed 2nd after going 3-1 on the day.
Garrett VonGunten (Goshen, Ind., Northridge) placed 8th after going 2-3 on the day.

174 lb Division:
David Cox (Tippecanoe, Ind., Triton) finished as 1st Place after going 4-0 on the day.

184 lb Division: 
Cameron Crisp (Merrillville, Ind,, Merrillville) finished in 2nd place after going 3-1 on the day.

197 lb Division:
Ethan Skinner (Kendallville, Ind., Central Noble) finished in 3rd place after going 3-1 on the day. 

The Spartans will now prepare for NCAA Central Regional on February 28 in Crawfordsville, Ind.
