Lafayette, Ind. - The Manchester University Baseball team opened up their season on the road in Lafayette, Ind, taking on the Little Giants of Wabash College.
The Spartans split the doubleheader going 1-1, taking Game one 8-5 and falling in Game two 4-14.
Joel Kennedy (Mooreland, Ind., Monroe Central) and
Gavin Gleason (Brookston, Ind., Delphi Community)each homered, one in each game, both coming in the first inning, while the Spartans combined for 20 hits on offense and 18 strikeouts on defense.
