North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University Softball team finished out their regular season taking on Berea College at home this past Saturday.
Manchester honored their seniors and clinched a spot in the HCAC tournament after sweeping Berea two games to none.

This game was all Manchester from the start,
Kaitlyn Carr (Valparaiso, Ind., Chesterton) went five scoreless innings on only 4 hits and struck out three batters to move to 9-0 on the year. The Spartans combined for 18 hits including
Erin Singleton (Brownstown, Ind., Brownstown Central) who finished 3-3 with four RBIs as the Spartans battered Berea 20-0.Â
Game Two Manchester 7, Berea 1Â
Brionna Egold (Greencastle, Ind., South Putnam) took the circle in her last regular season game as a Spartan and dominated, finishing with seven strikeouts, a 0.00 ERA, and a win. The Spartans offense stayed hot with nine hits as
Alee Eaker (Lowell, Ind., Lowell) went 1-2 with two RBIs as the Spartans held on to win 7-1.
With the sweep, Manchester clinched a spot in the HCAC Tournament as the #5 seed where they will start off by facing Franklin College at 10 AM on Thursday May 8 in Lexington, KY.Â
