North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester Athletics is proud to announce the 2025 inductees for the Manchester Hall of Fame.
On Friday, October 10 Manchester Univeristy will see four inductees enshrined in the Manchester Athletics Hall of Fame. This year's class will honor Korey Bucher(Track & Field), Erica Sewell(Women's Basketball), Dave Good(Men's Soccer Coach), and the 2009 Men's Cross Country Team. Get to know the 2025 Inductees:
Korey Bucher is being inducted for his record breaking career in track at Manchester. Bucher held multiple records at Manchester: Indoor 200m and 400m, Outdoor 200m and 400m, and Outdoor 4x100m. In addition to Bucher's records, he was also named the 2009 HCAC Most Outstanding Track Athlete in route to bringing home individual Conference Championships in Outdoors, 2009 400m and 200m. Bucher was a three-time NCAA Qualifier in 2008(Indoor 400m), 2009(Outdoor 400m), and 2010(Outdoor 400m). Bucher finished his career at Manchester with two NCAA 1st Team All-American awards.
Erica Sewell is being inducted for her dominate career in Women's Basketball at Manchester. From 2001-2005 Sewell consistently led the team in points per game as well as rebounds per game, leading to her record breaking senior season. Sewell broke the Manchester all-time rebounding record during the 2004-2005 season with 990 career rebounds while ranking fourth in all-time scoring at Manchester. Sewell's dominance didn't stop there, she ended her career at Manchester with 54 Double-Doubles and being named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region for the 2004-2005 season.
Dave Good is being inducted for 35 seasons at the helm for Manchester Men's Soccer. Dave Good Coached the Spartans from 1981-2015 racking up multiple accolades and championships along the way. Coach Good led Manchester Men's Soccer to a NAIA District 21 Championship Runner-Up in 1984 and a NAIA District 21 Championship in 1985 while being named the District Coach of the Year for both seasons. Coach Good also reached the HCAC finals in 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2007 taking home the HCAC Championship in 2003. The HCAC recognized Coach Good as Coach of the Year in 1998, 2001, and 2007.
The
2009 Men's Cross Country Team is being inducted for a historical season. As a team, they won the prestigious Indiana Intercollegiate Meet, sprinting past all NAIA, Division II, and Division III teams in the state of Indiana. The 2009 Men's Cross Country team won the first team Conference Championship, for Cross Country, since 1963, finishing 1-2-3-4-11 scoring 21 points. Winning the Conference Championship propelled the team to a third place finish at the Great Lakes Regional Meet, where they then advanced to the NCAA Division III Meet, finishing 26th.
The Induction Ceremony will be held in conjunction with Homecoming on Friday, October 10 in the Upper Jo Young Switzer Center with the reception starting at 5 pm, dinner and program at 6 pm. Tickets for the ceremony cost $36, ticket purchasing location TBD.
