North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester dropped a 4–1 decision to Illinois College on Saturday at Good Field.

The Spartans answered an early deficit when Lily DeTray scored in the 32nd minute off an assist from Imari Francis, briefly pulling the match level. Illinois College regained the lead before halftime and added two more goals in the second half to secure the win.

Manchester generated a handful of chances, with DeTray and Layla Huneck testing the keeper, while goalkeeper Reagan Claus recorded four saves under steady pressure before Vicki Moorman closed out the match in net. Despite the loss, the Spartans showed resilience with their first-half equalizer and stretches of organized defending, signs they will look to build on as they move forward in non-conference play with a home match against Huntington this Wednesday.
