Lexington, KY - Manchester Women's Basketball fell to Transylvania Saturday afternoon, falling 61-38 in HCAC play at the Clive M. Beck Center.
Manchester traded punches early and led 13-12 after the first quarter, getting to the rim and creating extra chances on the glass. But Transylvania flipped the game in the middle two periods—outscoring the Spartans 17-6 in the second and 19-9 in the third—to open up separation. The Pioneers' perimeter shooting was the difference, as Transylvania knocked down 13 three-pointers, while Manchester was held to 12 field goals and 1-of-9 from deep.

Kayla Gibbs added 6 points on 3-of-6 shooting.
Abi Rosenkrans finished with 6 points and 2 assists, and
Hannah Holmes posted 5 points, 9 rebounds, and a game-high 6 steals as Manchester's defense generated 7 steals overall. Maddison Smith chipped in 7 rebounds with a block.
Manchester battled on the boards (39 rebounds, including 12 offensive), but 24 turnovers led to 26 Transylvania points, making it difficult for the Spartans to find consistent rhythm offensively.
