Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Finish Strong at DePauw Invitational

Spartans Bring Home Two Top-Five Finishes at DePauw Invitational

Greencastle, Ind. - Manchester Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field headed south to compete in the DePauw Invitational, bringing home two top-five team finishes. 

Women's Indoor Track & Field, as a team, finished third on Saturday with multiple podium finishers throughout the meet. Rylee Stephany finished third in the women's 3,000 meter run with a time of 11:08.98, and scoring six points. In the 4x200 relay, Manchester finished second behind strong performances from Jay'ana Blakely, Sophie Minnick, Madisyn Danforth, and Coco Truelove. Ali Paul took home a fourth place finish in the high jump competition, finishing with a 1.43m performance. Rebecca Johnson tied for fifth in the pole vault event with a 2.77m performance. In the triple jump, Samantha Stetzel finished fourth with a 9.53m performance. Charlotte Wilson(1st, 11.32m), Abbi Kohler(2nd, 11.17m), Katrina Sejour(4th, 10.96m), and Reagan Claus(5th, 10.84m) all dominated the women's shot put, snagging four out of the top five finishes. In the women's weight throw, Abbi Kohler(2nd, 15.09m), Katrina Sejour(3rd, 14.60m), and Charlotte Wilson(5th, 13.59m) continued to dominate in the throws events. 

Men's Indoor Track & Field, as a team, finished fourth on Saturday with also multiple podium finishers. Jonah Miller finished fourth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 9:20.29 while Cole Davies(3rd, 15:57.10), Austin Johnson(4th, 15:57.82), and Darius Osborn(5th, 15:57.85) all finished top five in the 5,000 meter run. Chris Rene brought home the title in the men's 60 meter hurdles with an 8.60 performance. The Spartans finished second in the 4x200 meter relay, bolstered by Kenny Redd, Gentry Oliver, Levi Campbell, and Abdullah Abdulameer. Gentry Oliver continued his strong day with a fourth place finish, 6.38m, in long jump and a sixth place finish, 12.24m, in triple jump. In the throws events, George Myles came in third in the weight throw event with a 16.37m performance.
