North Manchester, Ind. - The Manchester University softball team has been recognized with two players earning Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) All-Conference honors.
Kendal Rider was named First Team All-Conference, while Lizzy Willis garnered Second Team All-Conference recognition.
Rider turned in a standout campaign at the top of the Spartans' lineup, leading the team with a .393 batting average. She totaled 42 hits on the year, including 12 doubles, while driving in 16 runs. A difference-maker on the base paths, Rider recorded an impressive 30 stolen bases, showcasing her speed and aggressive approach. She also posted a .472 on-base percentage and a .977 OPS, consistently creating scoring opportunities for Manchester's offense.
Willis also delivered a strong offensive season to earn Second Team honors. She hit .385 with 40 hits and was a key run producer for the Spartans, tallying 20 RBI. Willis added extra-base power with three doubles and three triples, while maintaining a .407 on-base percentage and a .878 OPS. Her consistency at the plate and ability to drive in runs made her a central figure in Manchester's lineup throughout the season.
