Box Score The Spartans, dropping to 4-5-3 and 0-2-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, managed individual shot attempts from sophomore midfielder Amber Kent (Fountaintown, Ind.), junior midfielder Laura Jenkins (Sellersburg, Ind.) and freshman forward Bridgette Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.). Kent's attempt forced a save from the Pioneers' keeper.
Transylvania broke up a scoreless tie in the 15th minute and added another goal in the opening frame for a 2-0 halftime lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) registered five saves.
