Box Score HANOVER, IND. – Manchester University put three players in double figures in its 2012-13 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener Saturday, Dec. 1, but a red-hot shooting Hanover College team came away with a 99-48 win inside Collier Arena.
The underclassman trio of sophomore guard Greg Flores (Hammond, Ind.), sophomore forward Silas Sims (Hope, Ind.) and freshman forward Brady Dolezal (Tipton, Ind.) each tallied 10 points for coach Brad Nadborne's squad. Dolezal and Sims also were active on the glass with Sims garnering five boards and Dolezal pulling down four, while Flores compiled his sixth straight double-digit scoring game.
Hanover, improving to 4-1, hit better than 52 percent from the field and drained 14 three-pointers en route to the win. MU (3-4) kept it as close as 10 with 11:35 to go in the first half before the host side went out on a 10-0 run which keyed them towards a 53-26 halftime advantage.
The Black and Gold continue HCAC play and return to Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against Rose-Hulman Wednesday, Dec. 5.
