TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Sophomore midfielder/forward Bethany Molnar (Chesterton, Ind.) led the shot chart for Manchester University in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Rose-Hulman Saturday, Oct. 17.

Molnar's three attempts were part of six for the Spartans (3-9-1 overall, 1-3-1 HCAC). Sophomore defender Maggie Carpenter (Connersville, Ind.), sophomore midfielder Jenny Pudlo (Crown Point, Ind.) and freshman midfielder/forward Maranda Birmingham (Kouts, Ind.) registered one apiece.

On the defensive end, freshman goalkeeper Caroline Smith (Mason, Ohio) ended with eight saves in the face of a 32-6 Fightin' Engineer shot advantage, but the hosts sent four of their 12 on goal strikes into the back of the net for a 4-0 win.

Manchester University closes its home regular season schedule this week. The two-match set begins Tuesday, Oct. 20, when Anderson University visits for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
