Box Score 2 BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Manchester University softball team split Wednesday's twin bill at Bluffton University.
The Beavers overcame a 5-0 deficit to take the first game on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 6-5. The Spartans then collected 16 hits in game two of the day to defeat the Beavers 7-4.

Doubleheader Notes:
* Kendal Torrence (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) hit her first career home run on Wednesday, launching a solo shot to left to leadoff Game 1.
* Manchester added 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning after a pair of errors in the field by Bluffton.
* Bluffton rallied for 6 runs in the home half 5th. The comeback was highlighted by a 3-run double by Lily Tate.
* Manchester's offense pounded out 16 hits in the second game of the day en route to a 7-4 victory.
* Kendal Torrence went 5-5 with a pair of runs scored. Alexis Mokos (Cedar Lake, Ind./Hanover Central) smacked a pair of doubles and drove in 2 runs. Kodi Douglass (Huntington, Ind./Huntington North) collected 3 hits, doubling once while driving in one run.
* Lainey Bonser (Muncie, Ind./Delta) finished 2-4 at the plate in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader. She hit a 2-run double to left in the top of the 3rd inning.
* 8 different Spartans collected a least one hit in Game 2 on Wednesday.
* Page Magner (North Vernon, Ind./Jennings County) worked her first complete game of the season, throwing all 7.0. Magner allowed 4 runs on 8 hits.
