Box Score 2 HANOVER, Ind. – The host Hanover College Panthers came away with a pair of walk-off victories against the Manchester softball team on Sunday, May 2.
The Panthers came away with a walk-off triple in the bottom of the 7th inning to steal a 2-1 victory in the first game of Sunday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader. The Spartans had just tied the game earlier in the top of the 7th inning.
Hanover's luck struck once more in the second game of the day as the Panthers were able to push the go-ahead run over home plate in the bottom of the 10th inning. Hanover took Game 2 7-6.
In the second game on Sunday, both Hailey Rivard (Tekonsha, Mich./Union City) and Alexis Mokos (Cedar Lake, Ind./Hanover Central) collected three hits. Kendal Torrence, Page Magner, and Kodi Douglass all had two hits in Game 2.
In extra innings, the Spartans were able to plate runs in the 8th and 9th innings, however, the Panthers were able to answer the bell on both occasions before securing the win in the 10th.
Manchester will conclude the season at Transylvania on Wednesday, May 5.
