Spartans Compete in Annual Manchester Hokum Karem

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester men's and women's cross country programs competed yesterday evening at the annual Manchester Hokum Karem.

The event showcased men's and women's runners from Huntington University as well as St. Mary's College on the women's side and Glenn Oaks Community College on the men's side.

The duo of Reece Gibson and Kent Yoder of Huntington earned top honors for the men's race while the duo of Shelby Christman and Carmen Trier of Huntington received top honors on the women's side.

Manchester men's program was led by the duo of Enrique Salazar (Plymouth, Ind., Plymouth) and Brayden Stamm (North Manchester, Ind., Mt. Vernon)finishing 3^rdoverall. Salazer completed the fastest lap in the men's race with a time of 4:44.7.

The pairing of Rylee Stephany (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) and Hannah Brubaker (Goshen, Ind., NorthWood) brought home a solid finish of 4^th place for Manchester in the women's race.

The Spartans will be back in action next Saturday, September 10th at the WIttenberg Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
