Tourney Time: Men's Soccer Hosts Transylvania for HCAC Semis on Wednesday

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester University men's soccer team will host the Transylvania University Pioneers in the 2023 Heartland College Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Soccer Semifinal round on Wednesday, November 1. The semifinal round of the men's tournament will be held at Spartan Stadium on the campus of Manchester University.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 1 - Semifinals
    • #3 Hanover vs. #3 Rose-Hulman - 2:00 p.m.
    • #1 Manchester vs. #4 Transylvania - 7:00 p.m.  
  • Saturday, Nov. 4 - Championship Game at Higher Seed - TBA

  • General Admission - $10 
  • HCAC Students/Faculty/Staff with valid ID - Free
  • Those 11 and Under - Free 
  • Spartan Stadium is a pet-free environment. Service animals are welcome.
DIRECTIONS:
  • Visitors to Manchester University can use 1305 N. East Street, North Manchester, IN 46962 to generate GPS navigation to drive to Spartan Stadium parking. 
  • Spartan Stadium (landmark 1) is located behind the PERC (landmark 30) on the Manchester University campus map.

GAME NOTES: 
  • The Spartans are seeking their first HCAC Tournament title in program history. 
  • The Pioneers are seeking their first HCAC Tournament title since their back-to-back conference titles in 2018 and 2019.
  • The Manchester men's soccer team clinched its first HCAC men's soccer regular season championship since the 2003 season. The Spartans also completed their first undefeated season in program history, finishing the regular season with a 10-0-7 record and a 6-0-3 mark in conference play. 
  • Earlier this season, the Spartans shutout the Pioneers by a final score of 1-0 at Good Field. 
  • The Spartans are led by Harley Kruschwitz with 18 goals so far this season. Cory Mitchell follows with 12 goals. 
  • Cory Mitchell and Harley Kruschwitz lead the conference in goals, shots, shots on goal, and points.
  • Harley Kruschwitz is currently tied for ninth in the NCAA Division III with 18 goals this season. He also ranks in the top-10 in the nation in goals per game (1.20), points per game (2.53), shots per game (4.93), and shots on goal per game (2.87).
  • Aaron Ketchmark holds the school record for single season shutouts with nine. He is also tied for 9ninth in the nation and first in the conference in shutouts. Ketchmark also leads the HCAC with a .706 goals against average.
  • The Pioneers are led by Dylan Barnes with five goals on the season. Barnes and teammate Gud Dickman have 15 shots on goal this season. Goalkeeper Nolan Yantz has collected 45 saves and 6 shutouts for Transylvania.
