2023 HCAC Softball Opening Round - Game Day

Tourney Time: Manchester Softball Battles Hanover in Opening Game of HCAC Tournament

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Manchester University softball team will compete in the 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Tournament at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. starting on Thursday, May 11. The Spartans earned the no. 4 seed in the tournament and will face the no. 5 seeded Hanover College Panthers at 10:00 a.m.

With a win, the Black and Gold will play again on Thursday against the Franklin Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. With a loss, Manchester will play on Friday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m.

  • Manchester finished the regular season with an overall record of 22-18 and a conference record of 10-6.
  • The Spartans are returning to the HCAC Tournament for the first time since the 2018 season.
  • The last time the Black and Gold won 20 or more games in a single season was the 2016 season.
