Shelbyville, Ind. - The Manchester University Cross Country teams competed in the HCAC Cross Country Championships this past weekend.
Connor Havens (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) won the individual title, racing in a time of 25:23.46. With his time, Connor now sits at No. 5 all time in the HCAC Cross Country Conference Meet. Havens topped the list of the HCAC All Conference team and joining him were teammates
Brenden Oden (New Carlisle, Ind., New Prairie) with a time of 26:20.24 and
Gavin Byerly (Huntington, Ind., Huntington North) with a time of 26:29.16. Earning honorable mention for the Spartans was
Austin Johnson (Leo, Ind., Leo) with a time of 26:54.34. The Men's team placed 2nd in the overall standings with 57 points.
Chesnee Miller (Akron, Ind., Tippecanoe Valley) was named the newcomer of the meet, as she was the fastest first-year, running a race of 22:58.52, she was then named to the HCAC All Conference team and joining her were teammates,
Ava Egolf (North Manchester, Ind., Manchester) with a time of 23:44.23 and
Rylee Stephany (LaPorte, Ind., LaPorte) with a time of 24:28.76. Earning Honorable mention was
Sydney Sluys (Columbus, Ind., Columbus North) with a time of 25:03.61. The Women's team finished 3rd in the overall standings with 61 points.
