Manchester Shines at HCAC Championships

Shelbyville, Ind. – The HCAC 2025 Cross Country Championships were ran on Saturday, with Manchester Women claiming a title at the Blue River Cross Country Course.

Men's Results:
The Fightin' Engineers won the championship title with a score of 25 points, while Manchester University finished in second, scoring 53 points. Franklin College finished in third with 73 points, Hanover College finished in fourth with 105 points while Anderson University (162) and Earlham College (170) took fifth and sixth respectively. Gavin Byerly (Huntington, Ind.) from Manchester won the individual title, racing in a time of 25:49. Rose-Hulman's Ben Tuckis (Noblesville, Ind.) was named the Newcomer of the Year, as he was the fastest first-year student-athlete, running a race of 26:58.  In a vote of league coaches, Rose-Hulman head coach Derrick Lawrence was named the HCAC 2025 Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year.

The Spartans won the championship title with a score of 55 points, while Transylvania University finished in second, scoring 63 points. Hanover College finished in third with 63 points, Rose-Hulman finished in fourth with 64 points while Berea College (87) and Franklin College (172) took fifth and sixth respectively. Chesnee Miller (Akron, Ind.) from Manchester won the individual title, racing to a time of 22:41. Transylvania's Ella Detjen (Lexington, Ky.) was named the Newcomer of the Meet, as she was the fastest first-year, running a race of 22:52.  In a vote of league coaches, Manchester head coach Brian Cashdollar was named the 2025 HCAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
