• MSJ got things going early, putting up 3 runs through 4 innings.
• In the 5th, Sabrina Leonard (Fillmore, Ind., South Putnam) got the Spartans on the board, driving in a run off of a double making the score 1-3.
• In the top of the 7th, The Spartans were rallying as Kaitlyn Carr (Valparaiso, Ind., Chesterton) drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to center field, however it wasn't enough as MSJ would go on to win the game 3-2.

The Spartans season comes to an end, finishing with an even 20-20 record.
