Box Score Lansing, Mich. - The Manchester Spartans Men's Soccer team traveled to Lansing, Mich. to take on Great Lakes Christian College Saturday, September 14th.

The Spartans won the game 4-2 to improve their record to 2-3-1.

Manchester 4, Great Lakes Christian 2

The Spartans started off strong with Ean Jones (Lancaster, TX, Red Oak)getting things started, scoring his first goal of the season only in the 2nd minute of the match with a Gavin Wagers (Brownsburg, Ind., Brownsburg) assist. Nearly ten minutes later, Manchester would double their lead making it 2-0 in the 14th minute with a goal this time coming from Andy Ignatovich (Ceresco, MIch., Lakeview), assisted by Kole Williams (Lafayette, Ind., McCutcheon). The Spartans would hold this lead and go into halftime with a 2-0 advantage. 

Things did not slow down in the 2nd half, The Spartans were quick to put another one in the net with Kole Williams scoring in the 47th minute with the assist from Andy Ignatovich. In the 66th minute, GLCC would get one back to make the score 3-1, and ten minutes later they were back on the boar to bring the game within one with a 3-2 Manchester lead. The Crusader's hopes were cut short with another Kole Williams goal coming in the 88th minute off of a Jackson Fagan (Marion, Ind., Marion) assist that would seal the victory for the Spartans.

Manchester will host Albion College, Wednesday Sep.18th at 7:00 PM here at Spartan Stadium.
