Three Spartans Earn All HCAC Honors in Softball

CARMEL, Ind. – Following the 2025 season, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the Softball major award winners and members of the All-Conference Teams.

Three Spartans earned All-HCAC Honors for this past season. The HCAC honors an All-Conference First Team and Second Team. The members of those teams are selected by a vote of league coaches and are listed below.

First Team:

Lizzy Willis (Yorktown, Ind., Yorktown) - Willis finished the 2025 season batting an astounding .435 with 40 hits, 20 RBI, 9 doubles, and 1 triple. Willis also had 12 stolen bases and 22 runs scored for the Spartans. The utlity player was also a force on the mound, finishing with a 3.78 ERA and 21 strikeouts. Willis finished 5th in the conference in batting average for this season. 

Second Team:

Kaitlyn Carr (Valparaiso, Ind., Chesterton) - Carr wrapped up her Spartan Career with a 2nd-team All-HCAC honors, her third honor in her time at Manchester. Carr finished up the season 2nd in the HCAC in ERA  with a 1.81 and a record of 9-2. Carr struck out 19 batters and was a two time HCAC pitcher of the week. At the plate Carr finished up batting .286 with 20 hits, 10 RBI, and 3 doubles. 

Kendal Rider (Otterbein, Ind., Lafayette Central Catholic)- Rider makes her way back to the All-HCAC team with a 2nd team appearance, her second consecutive year. Rider finished the year with the new Manchester single season stolen base record of 34 stolen bases as well batting .403 with 50 hits, 22 RBI, 14 doubles, and 32 runs scored. Her 34 stolen bases was the most in the HCAC this season and #28 in the nation.
