North Manchester, Ind. - Just a few days after being named to the D3Baseball.com's First Team All-Region team, Joel Kennedy (Mooreland, Ind., Monroe Central) was selected as a fourth team All-American. 

The Junior Designated Hitter established himself as one of the top hitters in the country this season, posting an astounding .453 avg, 1.222 OPS, and 46 RBI. Kennedy also tied the Manchester record for hits in a season with 78. Kennedy still sits at #8 in the country for Batting Average and was number one in the conference. Kennedy adds All-American to his long list of accolades which more recently include All-Region 1st team, All-HCAC 1st team, and All-HCAC Tournament team.

Joel Kennedy now becomes the 62nd Spartan to achieve All-American Status.
