Second half keys Hanover past Spartans

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Junior forward Ola Ladapo (London, England), sophomore defender/midfielder/forward Tod Oram (Crown Point, Ind.) and freshman defender/midfielder Digby Strogen (Claremont, Calif.) each took aim at visiting Hanover College's net, highlighting Manchester University's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match Saturday, Oct. 10.

The trio's tries were knocked away at each turn by Panthers' keeper Rafael DiMaio in route to a 90-minute clean sheet as part of a 3-0 Hanover College decision. After equaling the league unbeatens shot-for-shot throughout the first 45, MU (4-6-2 overall, 1-2 HCAC) didn't get an attempt off in the second stanza, while the visitors registered three scores amidst 17 chances.

Sophomore goalkeeper Brady Forman (Hastings, Mich.) kept his teammates as close as possible during the afternoon, compiling six saves against a 28-8 shots disadvantage. Fellow sophomore Luke Headings (Bluffton, Ind.), from his midfield slot, led the overall shot section with two.

Manchester University continues league play Tuesday, Oct. 13. Bluffton University of Ohio is the guest of the Black and Gold for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
