Rose-Hulman stops Spartans

Box Score

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Despite facing an 18-2 shots disadvantage against co-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference unbeaten Rose-Hulman, Manchester University kept itself close to the host Fightin' Engineers Saturday, Oct. 17.

MU, dipping to 4-7-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference, received a pair of saves from sophomore goalkeeper Brady Forman (Hastings, Mich) and a pair of shot attempts from junior forward Ola Ladapo (London, England) to highlight the clash at Jim Trendel Field. However, Rose-Hulman's defense kept the Black and Gold silent and got two shot on goal attempts past MU's defense with one coming in the 27th minute and the other coming in the 61st minute in route to the 2-0 decision.

Manchester University remains close behind the trio of Transylvania University, Anderson University and Franklin College, who sit fourth, fifth and sixth, in the chase for a league postseason tournament berth. They open back-to-back home matches Wednesday, Oct. 21, hosting AU at 3:30 p.m. at Spartan Soccer Field.
