Box Score NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Manchester University wrapped up its 2015 home regular season Saturday, Oct. 24, battling Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Earlham College tooth and nail.
The visitors held an 18-14 shots advantage, but they couldn't solve sophomore goalkeeper Brady Forman (Hastings. Mich.). Forman compiled a 110-minute shutout in net with four saves, his second against league competition and third overall this season.
MU's offense did its level best to take advantage of their keeper's strong play. Sophomore defender/midfielder/forward Tod Oram (Crown Point, Ind.) fired three shots at EC's goal but each attempt was thwarted by Quakers' goalkeeper Nicola Manni. Oram's five total tries topped MU's shot chart.
The Spartans (4-7-5 overall, 1-3-3 HCAC) take to the road Wednesday, Oct. 28. Kickoff at Franklin College is 7:30 p.m.
NOTES: Manchester University has registered three of its five ties in its last five outings … Forman, who has surrendered just one goal in his last 220 minutes in net, dropped his goals-against-average to 1.53, a season-low, at the conclusion of the afternoon.
