Box Score ANDERSON, Ind. – Manchester and Anderson combined for 34 hits in Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup as both teams flexed their offensive might.
In a back-and-forth affair, it was the host Ravens who struck the final blow. AU's T.J. Price launched a 2-run home run to left in the bottom of the 10th inning to propel the Ravens to an 11-9 victory.
For Manchester, seven different Spartans had multi-hit efforts. Both Alex Morr (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan) and Zach White (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) led the way with 3-5 days at the plate. White had 2 RBI while Morr scored twice.
Jacob Van Pelt, Michael Pinarski, and Cole Filson all had two hits apiece.
The Spartans also hit three home runs on the day. Austin Knowles, Jacob Van Pelt, and Paul Barrow each hit a round-tripper.
The Ravens matched Manchester's power with three home runs of their own. Jason Hall-Manley hit a 3-run shot. Branton Sanders added a 2-run home run in the 4th inning while T.J. Price's two-run homer in the 10th sealed the victory for AU.
Six different Ravens had multiple hits with M.J. Furnish leading the 19-hit barrage with a 4-5 effort at the plate.
