North Manchester, Ind. - Manchester University men's track & field had a standout weekend at the Rob & Patty Lydic Invitational, highlighted by HCAC Athletes of the Week honors for
Gavin Byerly and
Gentry Oliver.
Byerly was named HCAC Distance Athlete of the Week after a dominant performance in the 3,000 meters, where he claimed first place with a winning time of 8:27.37. His strong showing paced the distance field and capped an impressive weekend on the track.
Oliver earned HCAC Jumps and Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week recognition following an exceptional multi-event performance. He captured first place in the long jump with a mark of 7.14 meters and added a second-place finish in the 60 meters, crossing the line in 6.98 seconds. Oliver's sprint time also set a new Manchester University program record, making his weekend one to remember for the Spartans.
