NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – D3Soccer.com top 20-ranked Ohio Northern made the most of a 21-4 shots advantage on Manchester University Saturday, Sept. 28, producing a 9-0 non-conference win.

Freshman midfielder Matthew Jordan (Zionsville, Ind.) did get a shot attempt at the Polar Bears' net in the second half, but it was deflected away. The Spartans' sophomore goalkeeping duo of Eric Cupp (Lafayette, Ind.) and Craig Thacker (Lebanon, Ind.) combined for three saves.

The Spartans, sporting a 1-6-2 record, open the 2013 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference slate Saturday, Oct. 5. Hanover College makes the trip to North Manchester for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
