Career Highlights
* A pillar in the history of Manchester Athletics, Wolfe was both a standout athlete and longtime coach and administrator for the Black & Gold.
* During his playing days, Wolfe earned 7 total varsity letters - earning 4 in baseball and 3 in men's basketball.
* Team captain of the men's basketball during the 1938-39 season, helping lead Manchester to the 1939 NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
* Served as the head men's basketball coach for 23 years (1951-1962 & 1964-1976), winning a program record 246 games.
* Guided the men's basketball program to three Hoosier College Conference titles (1954, 1956, & 1966).
* Named HCC Coach of the Year in 1954.
* Also served as the head baseball coach for 11 years (1952-1963), winning 97 games.
* Wolfe also served as a long-time administrator for the athletic department.
* Since 1980, Manchester Athletics annually awards the Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year award to honor his legacy.
